  • Grad Night tickets are going fast now. Please, buy yours at the banker’s window. Being on a waiting list, as others are loading the buses on Thursday, May 31st, is not pleasant.
  • Grad Night contracts will be collected on May 31st when you check in. Senior Class voted for Universal Studios. 
  • Jostens will be on campus on June 11th. Purchase a cap and gown that day for $50.00.
  • Senior sweatshirts are ready for pick-up and purchase at the banker’s window. They look great.

The purpose of the KAA Scholarship award is to assist local Cambodian students in LBUSD who are pursuing higher education through an accredited college, vocational school, or university either as a part-time or full-time student.

Two students will be selected.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Have at least one Cambodian parent
  • Have at least a 2.5 minimum GPA
  • Be Enrolled in the 12th grade at LBUSD
  • Attend either an accredited Community College, Vocational Trade School, or University in the Fall.

The LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The mission is to Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Cabrillo Annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser begins on Thursday, May 17th and ends on Tuesday, May 29th

Cabrillo has already raised close to $8,000 for the cause of curing blood cancers in youth and adults.

Teachers who want to participate this year, should contact Ms. Archer in the College and Career Center to have a Pennies for Patients box delivered to the classroom.

All donations will be sent to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Personal donations can also be made through the LLS website at: http://www.lls.org/

If you need help organizing, completing, or revising homework, essays, and projects, or with studying for finals, drop in the library Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 3:00 – 4:30 pm for FREE tutoring. We are here to help you! Also, the library has extended hours, and is open until 5:00 pm Monday – Thursday.

  • 16 years on up
  • 2.5 GPA
  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident

You can receive $140 and earn community service/volunteer hours. See the College and Career Center.

The Cabrillo Dance Company was honored to receive a donation that allowed the entire team  to compete in Escondido California over a grueling three day weekend. The dancers competed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in nine categories and were able to walk away with multiple honors. Cabrillo Dance Company was the ONLY high school entered in a competition that was created for Studio-trained dancers. Please congratulate them! They represented Cabrillo well. Go Jags!

  • Small Group Jazz - 1st place, Judges Award (Powerful Dance Performance Award).
  • Lyrical Solo - Che'Lyn Lane - Top 1st place, NYC Invitation.
  • Musical Theater Solo - Debreanna Helmage - Top 1st place.
  • Lyrical Solo - Adronni Willis - 1st place, NYC Invitation
  • Hip Hop Solo - John Arceno - Elite Top 1st place, 2nd  in Region, John was also given the title : 2018  MR. DANCE AMERICA.
  • Hip Hop Duet - Che’Lyn Lane and Debreanna Helmage -  Top 1st place, Hollywood Dance Invitation.
  • Lyrical Duet  -  Debreanna Helmage and John Arceno Top 1st place, Region Champions, HIGH POINT AWARD, Two Pulse Dance Scholarships, and Invitation to compete in Australia.
